Laurel Hill GIS’ GeoData Sentry is chosen by Kissimmee Utility Authority for geodatabase QA/QC software

Longmont, CO, August 2nd, 2006 – Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) selects Laurel Hill GIS’ GeoData Sentry as its geodatabase quality control platform. GeoData Sentry is an off-the-shelf software product for ArcGIS enterprise geodatabases. Sentry provides users the ability to create custom testing environments with user friendly HTML report output.

KUA plans to use Sentry to detect existing database errors as well as prevent future database errors. Sentry will help define a quality control baseline that will be used to compare future test runs.

Ken Beville, The GIS project manager for KUA is in charge of geodatabase quality control says “KUA has been entrenched in GIS technology for nearly 20 years including Utility Design, Mobile Mapping, Facility Management, Outage Management and a host of GIS driven web-based applications. Until now, quality assurance has been one of our greatest challenges. GeoData Sentry will allow us to gain control of the quality of our data. It will provide us the confidence that we can quickly identify errors in our data so that we can maintain the expected integrity that is demanded by the enterprise for decision making.”

“As KUA has expanded their use of GIS, data quality has become more critical. GeoData Sentry will give KUA the ability to not only assess the current state of the database, but prevent future data errors.” says Laurel Hill GIS’ vice-president, Matt McCain.

Diagnostics Version 1.1 Release

Longmont, CO, July 18th, 2005 – Laurel Hill GIS, Inc. announces that GeoData Diagnostics version 1.1 is now available. GeoData Diagnostics is an off-the-shelf software product for ESRI’s ArcGIS personal and enterprise geodatabases. It allows users to compare structures and properties of two geodatabases and report differences in user friendly HTML. Major new functionality includes:

  • SDSFIE geodatabase model support
  • Support for ArcGIS 9.1

“We are excited that GeoData Diagnostics now supports comparisons of SDSFIE geodatabases. The SDSFIE data model is quite extensive with a wide range of feature data sets, feature classes and stand alone tables, which makes difference detection almost impossible without GeoData Diagnostics.” said Laurel Hill GIS’ vice-president, Matt McCain.

Sentry Version 2.1 Release

Longmont, CO, July 15th– Laurel Hill GIS, Inc. announces a new version release of GeoData Sentry. GeoData Sentry is an off-the-shelf software product for ArcGIS enterprise geodatabases. It provides users the ability to create custom testing environments for their geodatabases. Technical and managerial users will be able to detect and report errors related to attribute validity, referential integrity, and spatial relationships.

GeoData Sentry now allows for test generation based on an individual database design. Simply by identifying, then choosing columns that should be Unique or not NULL, potentially hundreds of tests can be generated in seconds. Prior to this update, users needed to configure these tests per column which was time consuming especially when there are numerous recurring columns throughout the database, such as feature level metadata. This update will save users time and money and result in more consistent test configurations.

“GeoData Sentry has a rich set of tools for automatic test generation. Sentry has always had the capability to generate tests based on rules established in the geodatabase. Now tests can be generated based on a users individual database design. This new test generation functionality will reduce test configuration time and provide users with a uniform method of test creation.” says Laurel Hill GIS’ vice-president, Matt McCain.

Diagnostics Version 1.0 Release

Longmont, CO, August 2nd, 2004 – Laurel Hill GIS, Inc. announces the release of GeoData Diagnostics™. GeoData Diagnostics™ is an off-the-shelf software product for ArcGIS™ personal and enterprise geodatabases. This product allows the user to compare the schema and properties of two geodatabases, reporting differences in user friendly HTML.

Users of GeoData Diagnostics™ will be able to:

Sentry Version 1.0 Release

Longmont, CO, October 1, 2002 – Laurel Hill GIS, Inc. announces that GeoData SENTRY, an automated quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) software product for ArcGIS™ enterprise geodatabases, is now available to download from http://www.laurelhillgis.com/editions.htm.
